I have a 93 hb with manual everything. Well, my driver side door inner lock tab is hitting my interior door panel when it is in the locking position, which is causing it hard to lock my door or wont even lock. This problem have caused me to break a couple locking tab. I was wondering if anybody know what's causing this problem or have have this problem before.

Open Position (Not hitting)


Lock Postion (Hitting inner door panel "circle in Red")


Door won't lock cuz it's hitting panel and the block off plate is secure/screw in so the lock tab can't push against the panel anymore= Break or Fail

 

Oh....I do know that you have to pull on the door handle to open the lock, which is normal on honda. But this is a problem not a how to open the door question cuz i know how to open the honda door properly. While taking the panel out i figure out that the locking tab is pushing against the inner door panel and when i put the plastic door handle cover back on, the locking tab (circle in red) now pushes on the plastic door handle cover & is now impossible to open the door.

 

Either the lock/handel bracket is bent or your door panel is not on correct, most likely..
