Default My rebuilt motor will just not start.

well heres the thing, i rebuilt my z6 to 9.0 compression and i just swapped it in a few days ago. the car cranks, is getting fuel, sparks, and timing is correct but it will just not simply start. when i put the key into ignition, the check engine light suppose to come on for a second and shut off, but the thing is that it stays on and won't shut off. also a friend of mine said it could be the main relay, when the key is in ignition, there is a clicking noise coming from it. could anyone tell me if thats ok? or does that suppose to do that. i told a friend of mine about it and he says that the relay is engaging or something. if anyone could help me please so do!

if u wanna know about ur main relay being bad, turn the key to the on position and listen for the buzz. itll buzz for maybe 2-3 second. thats the fuel pump, it wont go on if the main relay is shot. are u sure ur getting spark and fuel? how did u check these?
