Hydro / Cable Whats the difference?
cable transmission useds a cable attatched to the tranny from the clutch petal to enguage the clutch
while Hydrolic transmission uses fluid pressure (similar to brakes) to enguage the clutch.

Cable trannys have crummy synchros when compared to hydro trannys.....if you've ever disassembled both you would be able to see the difference....the hydro synchros are HUGE when compared to the cable synchros..

yea that's true, but it depends on what tranny it is, i mean if you have a (just makeing a statement) 91 ls tranny and a 94 ls tranny, the synchros in the 94 would be thicker mainly to handle the hp increase, there are also other factors that goes into it also.
