Hydro vs Cable What's the difference and which is better???
cable is operated by pulling a metal cable (like throttle cable)
hydro is operated by hydrolic pressure (like brake lines)
hydrolic is smoother, which is why newer cars have them now.

personally I like the feel of a cable tranny a little more.
assuming you have a crx (cause of your name), i'd just stick with the cable tranny setup. Converting over to hydro would be a lot of work, more $$, and the benefit (if any) is minimal.
