Default Cost for sleeving

I can get a blown long block LS for $30 (don't ask). Even if it ends up being completely finished it's still not a loss. So anyway my question is I am building a head right now and down the line I had planned for a B20z bottom end. I am wondering instead of this I can just resleeve this LS, get a set of OEM B20z or endyn or JE pistons, new bearings and be off with it. I'm wondering what costs are involved with having the engine sleeved. TIA

Golden Eagle Manufacturing (www.goldeneaglemfg.com) sleeves them for $785 or so. I the FI forum, I believe someone is sending out multiple blocks to have them done at $585 each.

I could have helped you cuz my friend was about to send 4 of his blocks, mine, and one extra (yours), but the plan fell through.

Eh perhaps boring is what I should be asking about in that case. I do not need reinforced sleeves but just a larger diameter bore. The engine will be NA. How much can be bored on a stock B18A bottom end?

My friend who is doing block and head work told me that going 10 over on the block will be just a little over 1.9L. You don't want to go nuts if you're running turbo (I am). I know for a fact, you can make it 2.0L easily.

My friend says he gets charged $100 once the block is out. The actual shop charges $165 for a walk in customer.

Well ideally I'd like to just bore it to run 84mm or 84.5mm pistons for a b20b/z block. The application will be NA for its whole life.

84mm is out of the question on the B18 sleeves...........you can "probably" get away with 82mm but even that is pushing it............the maximium honda recommends is 81.5 (.020 over)

i guess if you dont plan to make huge gobs of power you can probably get away with custom 82mm pistions........

If you guys are interested in the Golden Eagle Sleeve me on my email: brandon.gilstrap@verizon.net I will give you the lowest price, only because I am not trying to make any money, just passing the savings, you know what I mean.

.10 over will not produce 1.9l... 84mm (which is technically 1.20 over) will yield around 2.0l
