Default b18c5 tranny

Can you use a y80 gsr transmission with a b18c5?
I can get a great deal on the engine but i just wanted to know if the c1's transmission would work until i got enough money to buy the c5 lsd transmission

I haven't personally run this setup (B18C5 with P72 ECU) so wait for more replies...

but I can tell you the P72 ECU will control the B18C5 engine, you'll just have a redline of 8000RPM. As for VTEC engagement point, hmm.. and then there's the secondary butterfly engagement the C1 needs but the C5 doesn't have...

Ideally you want the P73 ECU.

One more thing.. to run the P72 ECU with the B18C5 you'll need an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness.
