p2t or p72 for inspection

Default p2t or p72 for inspection

hey guys,have a 01 gsr in my em1,right now have a p72 obd1 ecu and trying to pass inspection,will a p2t(em1) ecu be just fine or should i go out and buy the conversion harness and obd2b p72 ecu

im thinking youll need the ecu that particular motor to pass, so itd be the p72

nope....use the p2t, you would need a obd2b to obd2a jumper harness to use a 96-99 p72 and those harnesses are expensive and pointless

idk the laws in jersey but now in mass u cant pass without the original ecu in the car. it has to be the original or no go. but if anything ude have to be obd2 none the less the obd1 will not work.

I don't know the emissions laws in NJ, but they share some with NY - if it's enough to throw a CEL on an OBD-II (96+) car then it won't pass. My question is rather: If you have a B16A2 ECU and a B18C1 ECU, why would you want to use the P2T for the GSR?

heres the thing i dont have either and for a p72 i would also need to go out and install a jumper harness im just looking for something to pass the inspections with,just wanted to see if i could temp use a p2t and have it pass
