Default how much would you pay for a b16 hatch

hey guys, ive been looking for a EG hatch for about a year now on and off. recently a freind offered me a EG that is in primer, the door sills are a little bit rusty and one quarter needs patch work. the interior is completly gutted ( not even dash... nothing) and a b16a2 swap with gsr tranny (not running... needs a dizzy) near where the block ID is there is a nick in the block. i was wondering what you guys would pay for something like this?

well, in the condition its in not much. However, if the guy can get papers for the b16a2 and b18c1 tranny (with good vins from the cars they came from), then it'll boost the price up a lil. However, if there's no papers for it I wouldn't even fawk with it.

PS. just incase anyone trys to say a B16A2 is "jdm", they come out of obd2 USDM del sols and everyone's favorite: the '99-00 Civic Si. Hope this helps some.

PPS. Actually, if you wanna check if its legit, look on the tranny for a vin, that will take care of the # for the gsR tranny. and on the block above the oilpan, I think on the back of the block, there should be a vin plaque there also - that will take care of the b16a2's vin #.

With rust? Nothing.

I'd rather buy a clean shell with a stock D-series than buy a rusty car with a B.

the motor isnt jdm... its out of a 99 si. As for it being legit i dont know ill have to look into that otherwise i wont consider it. im thinking about 1700 would be a fair price.

engine is worthless in a bad car. Buy the car for a cheap price and buy another shell to use the engine. You basically paying for just the engine right?

definetly NOT 1700.. less than 1200 at least.. that motor has gone down significantly in value with the price in k20s declining.. it's no longer the popular swap..

That condition.... I'd offer $1000.
If he wont bite, walk away.

Hatches are a dime-a-dozen.
B16's are a dime-a-dozen.

You can find another deal.
