Hello,

I have a 2000 Prelude auto and the original map sensor plug on the harness was damaged. I was able to locate another plug but from a different Honda, not sure exactly what it came off of.

Question is, which wires go where on the plug? I know the red/green is map, red/yellow is power, and green/white is ground, but i was in a hurry and forgot to note thier locations on the plug.

I attached a drawing to illustrate my question. Thanks for any help.

 

Looking at the plug with the snap part of the connector on the TOP from Left to Right

yellow/red, green/white, red/green just reverse of how you have it in the picture.

Another question, if the red/yellow and the red/green were crossed, would it be possible to fry the ECU?

 

i dont think it would fry the ecu but rather fry the map sensor. Try to uncross the wires and get everything hooked up correctly and keep your fingers crossed

 

Well, wired the map correctly, and reset the ECU but it will not start. May have to try a different map. I have a 95 GSR map. Are they pretty much the same or do I need to stick with the factory map? Thanks.

 

pretty sure most honda maps are the same.

Make sure you got the firing order correct on the plug wires.
