Default crazy jumping idle, bogging, running rich

when I'm moving and I throw it into neutral the idle jumps from 500-1500 up and down a few times then idles normally, sometimes it jumps up and down for a long time, sometimes the idle falls to low and the car about to die then it jump back up, then it does it again whats the problem

also sometimes in first when I get to 3000rpm it feels as if the car totally lost power even if I step on the gas the rpm drops, I either have to shift to second or let off gas in which case the car launches forward

and my buddy said my car smell like it's running a little rich what does this mean and what are the problems it can cause and how do I fix it

and could it be that one of my cylinders got low compression? what are the symptoms of this?

About the idle, try taking your EACV, its the cylinder shaped piece behind your intake manifold, two 11mm bolts, and it comes off. Once off, spray brake cleaner deliberately into the two holes you see. In one theres a little mesh screen, make sure its clean when you put it back on.

It felt nice tho, people thought i had a fat *** cam in that bitch man

EACV or IACV is Idle Air Control Valve (or something along those words)

I had the fluctuating idle problem with my swap too, it turns out that it was the vacuum lines. Re-route the vacuum lines properly and your idle should be fine.

I had a lot of idle problems. was doing the same thing but at about 3k. First I had to re-tighten the FITV (do a search on FITV). That brought my idle down, but still surged. Then had to fix timing. That will cause surging. after I did all that still did it, but it was doing it at 500. That was because the idle was to low, and it would surge to keep the car from shutting off. Just adjusted the idle screw (pulled it out some) and everything cleared up.

I have that bogging problems occasionally in my b20 vtec. I dont have an EF, rather a DC4 Integra. Does this solution apply for me as well?

I the same problem, but what about running rich? Will fixing the idle fix that problem too? And what about sputtering? Like I have to be reving it then throw it in first just to acclerate to maintain speed, becuase if not it just goes very slow until it picks up speed. then when I shift to second gear it makes like a weird (Prrrr) sound. Then If I throw it in neutral it backfires sometimes(like a loud pop) I have a 95 hatch Dx w/ a JDM D15B V-tec and just got my ECU (P07) from a VX. I have apexi N1 catback, and AEM intake. Can Someone Help me out? Thanks!
