Help me decide on a head setup for my built/boosted b18c1
As of now I'm running a stock b18c1 head, bottom end is .30 over, stock sleeves, block guard, cp pistons, eagle rods
I am running 14 psi, and putting down somewhere around 330 hp.
I have been considering changing the head setup, but would like some input. As of now I usually shift before 8k (around 7600), with the stock gsr redline at 8200. I am not really concerned with revving higher, but I wouldnt mind making more power...as long as it is enough power to constitute spending quite a bit of cash on the head.
My question is, basically are there any combinations of cams, gears, springs, retainers... that would help me substantially? preferably without spending over 1200$ or so... I have been looking at cams and see several sets in the 500-600$ range. Suggestions are welcome and wanted...

u can find portflow inners/itr outers for pretty cheap...

You really only need a good set of springs and retainers. Also, if you are still running a stock GSR intake it would be beneficial to switch to a skunk or Victor X. Many people make well over 500 hp with a stock port head, springs and retainers, and good intake manifold. The stock GSR cams work very well so no need to spend money there.

if ur makin good power on a big enuff turbo, it helps to have that extra 500-1000 rpm of revvability when racing 

I have a skunk 2 intake manifold, the springs and retainers are supposed to be type r's (it was already together when I got the car) so I'm not positive on that. thanks everyone so far...

Thanks, but I'm not quite ready for that yet, for 2000 $, I could get a lot more power elsewhere. It sounds quite nice, but overkill for my current setup.

I think a head would give you more power then anything you mentioned (Cams,etc)
I wouldn't do a oversize valve because of the power your looking to make but I would definitely put a real good valvetrain in it, which is what I would recommend if you do not port the head. I have picked up as much as 110hp on a turbo car, big turbo though. I would imagine you could pick up in the neighborhood of 60hp from a head. Problem lies in that the head is going to be way more then 1200... you won't pick up any power from the valvetrain but you'll get some reliability..good luck on your project.

going with CTR/ITR cams and valvetrain, I don't see you gaining more than 20whp.
I'd just get a set of ITR valvesprings so you can rev to 8400 safely and up the boost.
