head swap done....now car wont start
i took a D16y8 head and put it on a d15b7 block....and it started when the headgasket was bad because i messed up and wanted to be cheap....and i changed it using the y8 gasket put everything back on and the timing belt was loose but the car started...and now we put the belt back on tight and car wont start. any one could think why this could be? because i adjusted the cams and everything to TDC and when i turn the key it sounds like i got turbo and something is blowin off kinda smells like gas
Check timing both on crank and make sure the distributor is on correctly (not 180 degrees off). Re-check everything is at TDC and you didnt slip a few teeth on the belt or something. Check to make sure you have spark as well.

Make sure all your connections are good on things. Are you throwing any CEL's?

I turned the crank to check if my timing belt was snapped. Do I have to return everything back to TD
