Default clutch

my ball bearing went (so the acura dealership tell me) and need the clutch needed to be replaced. They gave me an estimate of $800 (for labor and parts) and charged me $85 for diagnostic time. After a little bit of discussion, he lowered the price to $725. Now what does it usually cost to replace a clutch (labor and part)?

what other kind of clutches other than factory can I get?

I'm not interrested in doing it myself, cause I don't know enough about this sort of stuff.

I have a 95 GSR. 3 days before the Xmas of 99' my clutch completely blew out, right down the road from the dealer after I had just left to show them the weird noise I was hearing. I had no real choice, seeing I had to go home for Xmas. It cost me just over $1,000.00. If I had to do it again, I would definitley get and aftermarket clutch and do it myself.

that's about the cost......the parts are about 300-400 bucks and there is like 5-6 hours of labour.............

you can get a exedy clutch kit for under 300 and it's very good and strong..

depends on your whp and driving needs..for stock i would go with exedy organic or act .stage 2. for more than 200 whp act stage 2, or exedy organic...for over 250 whp act stage 3 or exedy ceremetallic. these are just rough estimates.

King Motorsports (ad in Super Street) up here in Wisconsin, will put any clutch in my car for $400 no if and or buts. My stage 1 cost me $280 plus the labor I paid $680. Not bad for a very well known shop.
