B20 VTEC or B20 only?
Obviously, to get torque you would follow all the same build up styles of any high HP b-series engine because HP and TQ go hand in hand. Your not going to have a problem getting torque out of a B20. A few things that I suggest for B20 build ups in general is:
PISTONS: I prefer Wiseco but there are many others that are great too. Adding forged pistons to your setup will help deal with the heat that comes from reving the motor passed its designed intent thus allowing you to rev higher safely and extracting a longer power band for more HP and TQ yields. Another hugh plus to aftermarket forged pistons is the valve reliefs. They provide more space between piston and valve which allows you to use larger profile cams than with the small relief OEM pistons.
I dont really have time to go on and on but to make things short I also recommend head work, cams that max out in your rev limit (BC3+) etc.

He has a CRX, no H22 for him and im sure he already has the B20. I know you can put a H22 in a CRX but its lots of trouble.

yes but H22/23 is where the torque is at! H23 VTEC baby!! Ok well for B series personally I would get a stroker kit or go boost.

Read the mans post. He wants a torquey good handling crx!! You guys are suggesting a H22 and you think its going to handle just as good as a b-series in there!

uhh...the h22 is only 40lb's heavier then a b-series motor. 2nd the motor makes more torque then any stock b-series.

go either B20/Vtec or Allmotor B20.
You can hit 150+ ft-lbs TQ easy. Raise the Compression(check out endyne pistons, http://www.theoldone.com). And get a good set of cams. If you dont have a lot of money the nonvtec route maybe more up your alley and you still can hit 190-200WHP! Either way in a crx, a B20/Vtec or N/A B20 is going to be a torque monster.

Ihave a 99 civic si coupe the motor is being assembled right now. I was just wondering if anyone would have any idea what kinda numbers id be putting out. i've read lots of articles and forums some say b20 franks normally put out 200 with just the head swap some say more. at http://www.importreview.com/d_2.0.html they got b20 franks puttin out up to 234 hp with less mods than my motor. they also have a 200 hp si coupe @ 200 hp runnin 13.2 that sound about right? heres a list of my mods below. if you wanna check out any pics heres the link http://www.xanga.com/hybrid_syndicate
