plastic charge pipes or not?
you can, i mean hell ford uses plastic side tanks on their intercoolers. i dont know how good or bad they dissipate heat but in a pinch you should be ok.
Assuming that they stay away from the manifold or exhaust, plastic is superior to metal. Even "high boost" isn't very much pressure when you think about it. The pressure the PVC pipes under your sink must endure is much higher.
