Default Bigger Injectors Needed?

I boosted my stock b16a2 with a Drag turbo kit (T3/T4). When it came time to tune, it was extremely lean starting at VTEC, and it could only be tuned to 4psi. I was told that I needed bigger injectors (440cc) in order to make my car drivable to redline at 8psi. I was wondering if other people have had this problem or if anyone has any advice. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is really basic....

If the drag kit has a FMU u dont need injecotrs. If u are running someother form of ems for example hondata, aem, etc u will need to get bigger injectors. I would go atleast 440 depending on the power u want to make.

If your on a FMU u can get bigger injectors but your gonna need something to control them like a afc. Are u using a inline or a intank fuel pump?

as someone else stated. if you're running the full drag kit then you're running an fmu. the fmu compensates for fuel when in boost. by just adding larger injectors, there will be nothing to control the bigger injectors at ilde and before boost. or even during boost for that matter. also, what disc is in the fmu? you can also up the fmu pressure if it's not already a 12:1 disc.

also, on my old b16, i was maxin out my 440's at 12psi

Well, I'm running an FMU with a 12:1 disc and an intank fuel pump. I also have a VAFC II so controlling the extra fuel shouldn't be a problem and since the most boost I'm ever planning on running is 8 psi I thought that the fmu would be enough to control my fuel. I'm just wondering because I really don't know much about cars and I don't want this shop to take me for more money. I've just always heard that the drag kit is complete so I was shocked when they said I needed the bigger injectors. Thanks again for the help.

the drag kit is a good complete kit. but the fuel management needs to be upgraded once u start boostin higher and making good power. if you already have a vafc2, you can ditch the fmu, missing link, and run some 440-550cc injectors. this would be called the "afc hack." you can do a search on afc hack and find many pages of info. on it. it works. it just doesn't do anything for timing and actually advances timing. I, myself run uberdata. you can go on the "uberdata" forums and do a search for the nearest local guy in your area and have that done.

I would get 440 or 550 injectors and run Uberdata or crome then you can get rid of the external fmu and you can tune your timing and fuel without a "Hack"
