Default non-honda swap?

This may sound dumb to most people here but I figured it never hurts to ask....... Would it be possible to do a non-honda engine swap? the engine I had in mind is the Nissan srd20e....It comes in the infiniti G20.... It has 145 Hp and 140bls Tq......It's a great torquey engine in the G20 so I kno it would kick *** in my EG.............Any info would be greatly accepted even an opinion. I just was wondering if it could be done or if there would have to be a lot of custom fabrication?

If money is not unlimited I would say there is no way in hell.

Im not sure if your being serious or sarcastic....But the only reason I ask is because I can get an srd for basically free minus the cost of labor and everything else. Im just looking at it as an alternate to all the other expensive or popular swaps. I really like the numbers this motor can make too there's one on G20.net with 500hp

So Now I know it can be done. What would you do? Im really unsure. I don't know anyone who can do too extensive custom fabrication. the only thing that makes me keep coming back is the fact that its free and torquey..... I thought turbo but there just seems like too many things to worry about. and Like I said the engine is free

Ok so the engine and tranny, axles, ecu, etc. is all free..... just pay the labor then. But dont expect to pay less then the price of a B series swap in labor.

Exactly. Doesn't the H22 make more power?

Go for it!!

Seriously, i'm sick of seeing people complain about everyone doing the same swaps, but when someone asks about doing something different those same people are like wtf? why would you do that?

Looks like he was referring to a non-turbo SR20 motor in the original post.

I was reffering to the non-turbo motor.........But I have to look around to see who can do it......Do shops do swaps or is it usually like a mechanic who does it on the side? And Id have to pay for an H22 ....Hmm compared to a vitrually free engine.....gotta price axles and everything else though

That would be a nice Hybrid honda, but I think you'd be better off picking up the 2nd Gen ZC on ebay for about 400 that comes with 140 HP stock, then add intake, exhaust, and a chipped ECU for about 500 dollars, and you'd pull about 165HP from the crank; for about 1000 dollars. Add a couple more hundred and you'd be able to get cams, springs, and retainers, and you'd be at about 180 HP for 1500.

your way off.

165 hp by adding I/E and a chip...WRONG

Then 180 with valvetrain parts...WRONG

A turbo setup will get it up there, but no one should plan on getting 180 hp out of a ZC with bolt-ons...ever

oh yea, don't waste the money on it. You can build a nice b series to handle 500 HP too.

b-series all the way man, put 7-9 lbs. on a b18b1 and you'll have all the torque you need. At least on stock components.

What the hell do you mean 2nd gen ZC, and 140 hp. You are full of ****, the ZC has 125 hp, just like the SOHC D16Z6.

180 hp on a ZC, no I doubt it and for $1500? Try jacking that up b/c most everything now has to be made custom for the ZC, there is only 2 companies that make cams for them now. Also they have a 77mm bore, so you can use SOHC pistons, but still this idea is just a waste money.
