Default using 96-00 civic s. tech springs on my 98 gsr sedan

i'm about to buy some s. tech 96-00 civic springs from a guy for a good price, i know they will fit, but i am wondering if the ride height will not be the same as it says it will drop 1.9F and 1.7R and also is there anything else to consider like the spring rates?

thanks guy

Civic spring rates will generally be slightly lower than their Integra counterparts, so an Integra will a bit lower with civic springs installed. The difference isn't usually noticeable.

It shouldn't be that bad, bounciness will depend more on the shock. If a tein s.tech is bouncy for an Integra, it will also be bouncy on a Civic. Other brands may not be as bouncy because of spring rate differences, but generally any spring on a stock shock will be more bouncy than a spring mounted on a koni yellow for example. just try it out and see if you like it. I think newgsrdriver (the mod in this forum) uses Civic springs in his integra - he likes the ride height and ride, although I am assuming he uses aftermarket shocks as well.

Also, the 96-00 EK was pretty heavy (especially the Si), so I doubt the spring rates will be all that different. If you were putting an EF spring on a GSR you may see more of a difference in ride height and spring rate.

Ride should not be bouncy unless your struts are bad. I have had the s-techs on my 99 Civic for like 20k with stock struts going on 60k with no issues or sag. These springs ride very nice.
