key wont stay in on position?

key wont stay in on position?
I have a 95 ex and every time i turn on my car the key goes right back to the #2 position and shuts off. I called the honda service and they nsaid they never heard of this problem. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
oh yeah and if i hold the key to the on position it stays runni ng so i think it has to be somewhere in the ignition.
