GSR OBD1 into 97 Del Sol OBD2a
I HAVE DONE THE SWAP AND IT WORK FOR THE LONGEST TIME UNTIL I SPUN A ROD BEARING. REBUILT IT WITH SOME ITR PISTONS AND WOW THAT WAS FUN. THESE IS MY SETUP.

94 GSR ENGINE TRANNY AND HARNESS OBD1
OBD2A P72 ECU
IT STILL THROWS THE IDIOT LIGHT (CHECK ENGINE). FOUND OUT THE CODES CRANK FLUCTATION SENSOR, AND KNOCK SENSOR, WHICH I HARD WIRED IT TO THE ECU. WORK THAT OUT BUT THE CRANK FLUCTATION SENSOR I DIDN'T FIX THAT BECAUSE THE OBD1 ENGINE HARNESS DOESN'T HAVE ONE. ALOT MORE WORK THAT I DO NOT WANT TO DO.
BUT HERE IS MY PROBLEM THE ECU FUSE IN THE ENGINE BAY IS NOW JUST KEEP POPPING. IT HAPPEN WHEN I WAS JUST DRIVING MY CAR AND THE RPM GAUGE JUST DROPPED AND MPH DID TO. I WAS LOOKING FOR THE PROBLEM, AND STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT. FUNNY THING IS MY ECU IS STILL GOOD. SO WHAT IS MY PROBLEM WITH ALL THIS MESS.

check the wiring to the main relay beside the glove box.Sometimes they rub through the harness and ground out to a bracket. This will blow the ecu fuse...
No other codes right?
Building the engine doesnt have anything to do with the wiring...The crank fluctuation code can only be fixed by adding that sensor/oil pump or swapping to an obd1 ecu(recommended). Some people say you can tap into the cam signal @ the dizzy and it will fix it, but Ive never tried this way...

I have another code that it is throwing but that is the something to do with the carbon canister purge thing. but that nothing I really worry about, emissions is not a big fact in the state i live in. but do you now of something else.
Yes I've heard of limp mode, I now what it is the EVAP Purge Solenoid Valve, I know what I need to fix that. But thanks dawg for your info.
my bad my boy was stil logged in when i replied. Yes I now what limp mode is and no my car is not really running limp. I know the why I have check engine light and know that obd2a have a crank fluctuation sensor and obd1 doesn't. MY question is why is the ecu fuse keep popping and or can my ecu be fried.
