Default eg console with h22

do any of you with h22s in a eg have a problem with the center console? with mine...the shifter is down a lot lower (closer to the rear) so i cant get it into the bottom gears. the way it is right now, i screwed to top 2 screws that holds the cup holder part in place....so when i shift the whole console goes up....not really a big deal but i just wanna noe if any of you has experiance this and what did you do

Cut it so you can mount it under the car. I was thinking about doing that this time since last time just mounted in on top where the old shifter was.

My eg has a hole cut like that, and it works pretty well. Shifter is a little down and to the left, but no shifting problems.

yeah, just mount the shifter under the car and cut the hole a little bigger. Just work with it and you will figure it out. That car will be fun as heck when you can ****** second really fast

if you mount it from underneath you wont have to deal with the shifter bracket at all. It will just be 4 bolts. I mounted mine from on top, and ended up having to shave some of the bracket down in order for the console to fit correctly.

I didn't like cutting it like that, the cables bind to easily, I never understand why no one goes right through the firewall like me.... so much easier
