Default H22 Civic Shifter Problems

Hi. I know that this is probably answered somewhere but I couldn't find it. I have an H22 in my EG, and my prelude shifter assembly doesnt clear my stock console. I had to cut my stock console in order for the shifter to clear the console. Just wondering if this is normal and if anybody knows how to fix it. If it's not, anyobody knows why? At first, i thought that probably my shifter was probably not a prelude shifter, however I bought a short throw shifter for a prelude and it fit no problem. I thought that maybe one way to fix it was to get the Karcept Shifter Mounting Kit for a K20 swap and customize it to fit my shifter assembly. Would this fix my problem. If there's a thread explaining this, please give me the link. Thanks for the help.

Default Re: H22 Civic Shifter Problems (bourdeau9)

I had to trim my console slightly to get it to fit over the prelude shifter assembly.
