I would like to eliminate the external key hole for the door by using the 4dr EG rear door handles. I currently have an alarm that I want to use to unlock/lock the doors with but what is out there besides getting the factory power door lock mechanism from the EX model. Any other companies out there that make power locks that could be used in conjunction with my alarm?

 

Spal makes door lock actuators that work well for your car.

 

Actually, the door actuators that spal makes for the door locks are not strong enough to work with the hatch latchin mechanism. Besides, they'll be harder to install. You need to look for a 10 to 15 lbs. capacity actuator in order to do the job well. Check with Audiovox, Electric Life, etc. to look for the actuator that works with cable machanisms.

EDIT: Correction, oops. I thought the fellow was talking about the hatch latching mechanism. For the door locks Spal actuators are great!

I have used Spal actuators in many vehicles and have had no problems. Honda have the easiest locking mechanisms around. Spal actuators even work on most domestic vehicles with hard locking mechanisms.

If you are shaving your handles I would recommend a different actuator for the door openers but for the locks this actuator is more then enough.

How about these listed on ebay, they go for about 20 bucks.
