d16z help turbo in but car runs like crap and smokes
just joined the club, but have been lurking the group for a while.reading up on damn near everything.took weeks and was hoping to install my turbo without bothering anyone here at this site but I have come to a paradox.Ive followed all the info in the site and even bought the moates and chips to learn to burn and modify.learned a little. Now the problem.I followed all the directions on the install and have the turbo hooked up w/ IC and I am running the stockGSR bin. the turbo was from the greddy kit TD04 turbo. I have my plugs gap .30 fuel pressure regulator at 42psi . stock injectors with walbor 255 fuel pump.running stockGSR bin after beerbongs.heres the the problem running beerbongs my car would hardly run and smoke like a chimney.now Im running the stockGSR bin and the car runs but pops when idleing and after a few seconds begins to smoke badly like beerbngs bin .the motor only has 28k on motor and ran great.now Im a little worried any help would be divine.tell me what I have done wrong and be brutal if need be.Im starting with stockGSR bin and learn from there as everyone seems to respect more.THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION.EMAIL SHANEADDIE@NETSCAPE.COM or post here
Are you running the stock GSR bin or did you make a basemap off of the stock GSR bin and are running that?
Also, make sure the injector size is correct... you said you put in BBKA's bin, he has 450cc injectors and if you throw that in there without 450s you are going to have some problems...
All the details of your setup might help out a bit too...

Im running the stockGSR bin base and will start from there.and the injector setting was for 240cc injec.what I have is as follows:
92 honda si hatch
d16z6
walbor pump
TD04 turbo
IC greddy
greddy manifold
fuel pressure regulator adjustable
p28 ecu socketed
stock injectors
stock evrything else
let me ask you I do not have the computer screwed down sitting in the floor to swap different chipswould that give me a problem.grounding
also havent dis abled closed loop on program misc.read somewhere about that.
plug gap?
thanks shane

running stock bin won't help you. See honda ecu won't accept anything as soon as it sees boost.
get some DSM 450s, run resistors on them, and tune it for boost. Run somebodies turbo z6 program from uberdata forum, except richen it up a tad bit just to be safe. Then tune it.

the bin I am using all ready takes in the fact there is boost.smoke is blueish white. It only starts after a few seconds of running.
fellows would o2 be telling the ecu that the car is running lean and dump to much fuel to offset the reading its getting from the o2.had to lengthing the wires to the o2 and made sure they matched up used shielded wire also.

you could if you increase the fuel pressure to the "line bursting pressure".
Just look at the stock Map anything past 1.13 psi of boost, and injectors duty cycle goes to 0.0. So it's like hitting a fuel cut everytime you hit boost.
And also stock injectors are already at like 70% duty cycle at redline, so you don't have much more to use for boost.
you will be lucky if you didn't burn **** up yet.

have'nt took it off the ramps yet.just got everything in and started it today to see if it would run.havent put it in gear yet.
how was the turbo, did it look shitty???
did you supply oil to it? maybe it's burning it that's why you are smoking like that.
