Default Crank case breathing questions

whats a good way to vent your crank case? i heard of the moroso vaccums but not everyone has that kind of cash laying around.

what good are catch cans?

I'm not exactly sure which Moroso breathers you are talking about, but I saw some venturi style ones the mount in the exhaust pipe, and as the gas passes by the "pitot" tube, it creates a pretty large vacuum, that ties back to the crankcase/valve cover. They only cost like $30 or something like that.

I saw a post on here (that's where I learned of them) so you might try searching the archives for Moroso and/or breather (???). I think http://www.Summit.com sells it, but it might be listed as a Mr. Gasket item. Let me know if you need help finding them, I'll see if I can find somemore info.

Hope it helps, and maybe if anyone has actually used one of these set ups, is there any down side to running these (do they cause the exhaust to smoke, etc...)

the moroso vaccum i was referring to is a pump that runs off the crank and sucks out air from the crank case
