Strange noise when accelerating (1993 Civic ferio)
Hi everyone!!
I just installed some Koni yellows into my 1993 Civic ferio with D16Z6 engine ("EH9" called here)...I didn't put those "rings" where the brake-lines are hold with, into it, so it slid a bit more into these "forks"...it is really low now....but now, when I accelerate I have a strange noise, like when you hold something into a bycicle wheel (like everyone did when they were younger)...it's only from the left side I think...and it only appears when I accelerate a bit more than "normal", so, when driving slow, no noise appears..but when stepping onto the gas pedal a bit more, it appears..
Any help is appreciated..
Thanks!!
EDIT: I just noticed, that the noise ALSO appears, when not driving...so, when I stand, and press a bit on the gas, it also appears..so it must be something like the clutch or the gearbox?!?! I know that my clutch isn't the best anymore...could it be, that it is near to death?? Or wouldn't a defective cltuch cause such noises??
Help me please!! A friend who works as a mechanic at Honda even didn't know what it is...

Well, the rear is the same height as before, and there is plenty of space left to anything, I checked that allready...do you think it could be one of the wheels causing that noise?? It must me something rotating touching anything fix...but I dunno how to find out which part it is...or could it be, that my axle is broken??
a few things one check your splash guards in fornt mine came loose and would rub the tire as i accelerated. i also had my rotor guard hitting my rim and that made the same kind of sound as it would vibrate against the tire.
OK, thank you very much, I will check these two things...it MAY be the rotor guard, because I hit it a bit with some tools when working...
Thanks so far for your help...
