i've seen these in articles and they say they do and also have had b16 pistons put in my gs-r engine last year, before my new set-up. compare a gs-r piston to a b16 piston the b16 is more domed than the gs-r. and the gs-r is more dished compared to the b16

If it does bump up the compression, how much? Is it worth it? or should i just get a jdm type R pistons instead?

I think you mean 11.5:1 -11.7:1

if you are going to put stock Honda Parts into your motor, you will increase the compression the most with b16a2 pistions. USDM.. these will give the compression pf about 11.7:1 . they will wourk better than the JDM ITR pistons. you could always go with the CTR and get some CRAZY compression of about 14.5:1 or more. beware of that setup though. good luck!

sorry off topic, but how much does it cost to install pistons? Do you have to take the whole engine out of your car? I've heard so many different prices and i just want to know from someone who has done it to their. I've heard prices of up to 700 dollars for labor.

sorry, i don't know exactly how much it costs, but to install pistons you have to pull the engine to hone the cylinder walls.

i think it's only like a 100-200 bucks depending on what hone job(basic) you get, as far as the labor
of puttint the pistons in and putting the block back together i dont really know.
