changed solenoid and switch, re-wired ground and solenoid, tried different distributor and ecu, checked oil... i used to get code 22 before i re-wired the wires, now i dont get any CEL but still no vtec!!!!!!!! i had a 92b16 in there and everything worked fine... blew the motor and all that was changed was... a new motor, intake manifold & TB, distributor. ive had the wiring checked by 3 mechanics and have been told that my motor is healthy... i read about splicing the vtec solenoid wire to clear up JDM motor complications. im left with no other choices..... anyone????? thanks

 

BTW... i blew the 1st motor by mis-shifting 4th to nuetral and my ecu has a 10k rev limit, now my question is... could my ecu have messed up during the time my motor gave out?

spedometer....some ecu's you have to be moving at 15mph before vtec will kick in...so if your spedo isn't working you wont get vtec...i stumble round that problem like an idiot for a while bout a year ago...

 

are you running a jdm vtec solenoid with a usdm ecu??

 

ive tried both jdm and usdm solenoids... and ecu is usdm

 

try a different ecu

 

i get a code 22 cel
