Default motor help

ok so i pulld the motor out of my 00 ek and dropped it into my sol.. after i did the swap i had to wire a few things up.. afte i was done with everything i took it for a test drive and for some reason it wont go passd about 1700 rpms.. so i checkd the ecu codes and i was only throwing code for my vtec solenoid and iacv so i wired up the vtec and plugged up the iacv and its still doing the same thing anyone know whats wrong with it??

Plugged up the iacv; but is it wired right? Iacv alone shouldnt cUse this but maybe you have other cels in the memory.
Did you clear the memory?
Did you even HAVE cels?

does it bounce at 1200 or just sit at 1200? because it could be that the motor is running lean, do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

at about 1700 rpms it starts to bog down real bad.. and if i barely give it gas i can get passd the 1700 rpms to almost 3k rpms.. but if i give it regular throttle of give it alot of gas it will bog real bad

it sounds like your fuel injectors are clogged or not running right, do you have a fuel pressure gauge? have you checked to see if you have fuel pressure?

wait its from a 00 EK? that means its OBD2B, did you change the OBD2 B stuff? or did you wire it in inside of the del sol, because i know the OBD2B thing has more sensors and stuff that could be making it not run properly.

well the motor is a d16z6 which originally is a obd1 motor.. when i got the ek the motor was in it and was running fine.. but then someone hit my ek and ran so i was stuck with just the motor pretty much.. i had the sol sitting there so i dropped the z6 into the sol

oh its a Z6 ok. Did the EK run after it was crashed? Or is it possible that the motor was damaged in the accident?

well when it was hit it was hit on the frontpassenger headlight.. so the passenger fender hood and bumper was damaged pretty bad and my core support was pretty bent.. but it was hit about 10 miles from my parents home so i drove it to their house with no problems at all.. so the motor wasnt damaged during the wreck

are you using a Z6 harness or did you wire in VTEC yourself? Although your problem sounds like a fuel problem, ru sure that the sol doesnt have a bad fuel filter or fuel pump?

i used a non vtec harness cause couldnt get a hold of a z6 harness... so i had to wire up the vtec.. but its not my first time wiring up the vtec so i know i did it right.. and the sol had a SiR2 b16 in it and was just pulled about 3 weeks ago so impretty sure the fuel filter/pump arent bad considering the sol was running fine

possible that your throttle is stuck? Or there is too much slack in the cable? I mean this whole situation doesnt really make sense.

my best advice is to just go over the engine bay again and make sure everything is plugged in and pull out the spark plugs and make sure there all good and make sure the wires are snug... i mean it sounds like your missing something, but the bogging while going is really making me think the timing is off ... does it feel like its missing fuel or getting too much fuel? cause there is a big difference there

feels like its missing fuel.. when car is on and not in gear it idles fine.. oh and if its not in gear and you give it has the car will start to bog around the 1700 and it will backfire
