Default Gauge Cluster

hey guys, im just wondering, i bought a used guage cluster off some guy on ebay and Im wondering could i roll the numbers back to my current mileage on my car.. because this says 123,562 and i want to roll it back to 101,249.. Any way?

if they are the same cluster just swap the speedometer
if they are diffenect do a search on how to do it

yeah, tampering with them I think is Illegal, plus you could mess it up unless you find the how to on it. Itd be much easier to just swap the speedos.

how do i swap the speedo, cuz the old one didnt come with the tach... and i bought it used one with a tachometer

setting back mileage is pretty easy if you are familar with opening up the odometer casing, and if you know what you're doing after that point...i've done it several times without any problems....i used to always be selling honda/acura gauge clusters and i'd set them to what ever mileage the buyer wanted. i was going to do a write-up on it, but have been to busy...

how long does it take? and can you do me a write up pleasE!?! i have the case open..

I dont remember every step off the top of my head but you take the thing out of the cluster and then theres a pin on the back you have to somehow take out without damaging the plastic holding into place once you have the pin out you can set it to whatever you want, replace the pin and your done. Theres anther way to do it but thats the one im familier with and its risky cause i allways seem to damage the plastic holding the pin in and end up glueing it all back togther but im sure if you take it to the dealer they charge you a butt load and do it right....

In the end take it to the dealer. its safer and legal!
