I was looking at remanufactured heads online, and i was trying to find out if a head from a b17a1 is vtec or not and if it is if a b18 skunk2 intake manifold will bolt to it?

i kno b17 head is vtec, its more similar to the b16 head i believe, not sure bout the other stuff tho

I used to have one of these motors... allthough it's a GSR head it is very close to the B16 head. It is VTEC. I don't believe the LS mani will work but I know a B16 and ITR mani both will.

 

anyone else have input on one of these heads?

 

Didn't the b17 only come in the 92-93 gsr? Which i would think was Only vtec.

 

thats what i thought but i wasnt sure because i didnt know the engine code for it.

 

B17 head = B16 head

 

B17a head = B16 head = B18c5 head!

 

i want head?!

 

all of them are pr3.. if you want to buy parts either look for b16 or a type r. it will work
