Hey guys Im in dire need of a Honda guy with some Sohc T knowledge, I finally got my car so it will start up and now im having more gremlins, let me explain my set up and whats happening.

Set up:
D16z6
Built block
Built head
3 bar map sensor
Socketed p28
VAFC
all the fuel goodies
blah blah blah

ok now the problem

When starting the car, it doesn't lag or sputter cranks right up. When it starts it ides at 1300 and surges from there to bout 1439, now for the kicker. When the acclerater is pressed down I can smell extra fuel, but no revs, the idle smooths out to bout 1100 and does no acclerating at all. Im not sure how to check my CEL cause There no jumper wire. Heres what else I know, Its running super rich, Theres no 02 sensor installed right now, so I know thats one reason, I pulled the plugs and they are black as the night, I played around with the FPR and got nothing.excpet it running a lil lean, I unplugged my 3 bar to see anything and got nothing. I unplugged my stock map sensor with the 3 bar installed and it seemed to run better for bout 10 sec or so and then started surging again. I am oh so lost. someone please help! hey on the good side I got to hear my turbo whistle for the first time in 14 months

 

also if it helps I just remembered, theres no IACV I have a venom sheet metal IM, But a while ago I read that you can run with out one. I live in FL so it doesn't get cold. Please help.

 

Fix the known problems first. Unl;es syour running open loop at all times, like a skunk2 or any other performance chip, your car will depend heaveily on the 02 sensor. Get that 02 sensor on there, get it on a dyno/wideband and get the fuel fixed out! Good luck Ejay.

 

Hook uo the O2 sensor, and check your timing. My car did something similar when I put in th enew motor, and it ended up being a tooth off.
