o and also.. i havent purchased the motor yet im still in the market for it and im not sure if its gonna end up being obd1 or obd2.. now i know the 96-98 civics are obd2-a and 99-00 civics are obd2-b ..are integras the same way???? and if its an obd-1 motor can i just use the LS wiring harness or do i have to buy a skunk2 conversion harness or something like that to make it work in my 2000

I just bought the HASport EK mount kit. I reused the upper transmission bracket from the SOHC and eliminated the front lower torque mounts. On the drivers side I had to purchase the 99-00 Si engine bracket and studs. On the rear I had to buy the 99-00 Si rear bracket.

If you are wanting to reuse your OEM ones, I'm guessing you could reuse the tranny mount also and the torque mounts... but not the torque brackets. You probably could use the rear mount too, but I'm not sure on that one. I didn't really investigate it too much cause I was planning on using the HASport kit so I would lose the lower torque mounts.

As far as OBD questions. 96-98 Integra's are OBD2a and 99-01 Integra's are OBD2b. You will not be able to reuse the Integra harness because the main breaks in the harness are on the shock tower (like an EG) but the EK's main wires go all the way to the ecu. So unfortunately you have to put the EK Civic harness on the Integra motor. I personally would try to match up the OBD year of the car with the ODB year of the swap so the wiring will be easier. So for you, I would try to find a 99-01 Integra swap.

You can purchase a 99-00 Civic ex or Si harness and that will make it all much, much easier. I just opened up my entire harness and rerouted everything and changed what plugs need changed.

If you go with OBD1 then you will definitely have to get a jumper harness at the ecu. For me, the ease of a newer motor would be worth the extra small bit of money.

Hope that helps a bit.

I buy most all my Honda stuff at http://www.heeltoeauto.com. Marcus is a great guy, I've known him for a couple years now.

Here is the kit I got.

so this will be the only thing i need extra if i buy an OBD-1 motor?? and if i do go this direction can i just use my stock 2000 dx wiring harness with the jumper harness??

also, one more wiring question... i believe my 2000 d16y7 has 1 o2 sensor(correct me if im wrong)which is located in the top of the exhaust manifold (built in cat)...do ls motors have the same amount of o2 sensors as the d16 and are there any common CEL problems that i may run into after the swap??

mounts:
driver front and rear mount. from a 99 civic si. you can reuse your dseries tranny mount.
wiring harness:
you CANNOT use a integra engine harness. reuse your stock civic harness. if you plan to go ls/vtec later in future, use a civic si hraness or just a y8 (SOHC vtec)

OBD...:
96-98>>>OBD2a
99-00>>>OBD2b
since your car is a 2000 try and get a similar mtr. my EJ8 is a '99 and my mtr is also a 99. im runnign a OBD2b-OBD1 jumper for my ecu.

lmk if you need anymore help with your swap. i jsut did one hear pretty recently

you can use your stosk tranny and drivers mount, you need to change the block mount on the drivers side to a 99-00 si mount and use a 99-00 si rear t mount. for torque mounts use the b18 torque mounts.
