Default Type R header on b16

I have a 00 si and I just purchased a type r header with a 2.5 in collector. I'm trying to figure out how to mate it up to the stock piping, cat. Any help would be appreciated

you will need a 2.5 collector flange and gasket to hook up to your stock cat.
inlinefour sells them http://www.inlinefour.com/25incolflan.html

So this will bolt my header up to the stock cat without any welding or anything?

hey dude,

to make that header fit, you will need to hack off the stock flange on your cat, and have the 2.5" collector welded on

hope that helps

Either get a JDM ITR cat somehow or have a test pipe made if you can. Just don't try and go through DEQ with it in.....................
