Default JDM 98spec Type R Header w/ 2.5in collector question

inline four sells an additional flange and gasket for this and says it will bolt on to any B-series with 'slight modification'. Now does this mean that it will bolt onto a B16 with a stock cat(2") by using the flange?

Heres the link to the site:

http://www.inlinefour.com/jdm98spectyp.html

Lastly, from what I've read, this is the best header for the money for a B16a2 with the common boltons, is that correct?

The flange will allow you to modify your stock cat to allow this header to bolt-up. However, if you don't plan on buying a new high-flow cat to install along with this header, I would just look for a header with a 2" collector that will bolt to your stock cat. The benefits of the JDM header's 2.5" collector will be negated by pairing it with the very small and restrictive stock cat.

I always suggest a custom Car Sound from SMSP. I've been using the same one for 3+ years, and it still works very well. Dave's welding and fitment are excellent, and he places additional welds on the heatshields to prevent rattles.
