Default D16Y8 in Integra?

Is it possible to put a D16Y8 SOHC V-TEC (96-00 Civic) motor into my 95 Integra? A friend of mine has one laying around and I need to put a motor into this Integra shell I just purchased. What would I need to do to make it fit and work correctly?

I don't know why you'd want to do that. Think you'd at least want to get a B18B motor to put in it.

look guys, he has already purchased + free = no outlay of money. don't tell him to spend money on a freaking VTEC motor. that costs money. basically, i'd guess it's like a reversal of an LS into EK swap. not too difficult as far as swaps go, but swaps aren't exactly child's play, either.

if yer just going to use the motor to get you from point A to point B, go for it. (i would)...but if yer tryna build it up, i agree with everyone and get a B series motor. (or if youve got money to go ***** out....k20 hehe)

the question isn't what motor for a build up, it's if this will work. yes, it will work. do some research on swapping LS motors or any B-series into '96-'00 Civics. that will let you know the major differences in chassis wiring and fitment. as for motor mounts, call up hasport and ask them.
