damn friend... need help
ok so we were dropping my car in like I would say april of 04, and well my friend did it while in shop class and I was at work. Well he had some other kid helping him and when they got the front dropped it looked nice and ****, but then they got to the back well the kid put so much pressure on one of the bolts becuase it would not come loose that he broke the head off. Ion a 97 integra what all do you have to loosen to get the strut bolts out under the car... or should they just come right out... How much do you think it will cost to get that broken bolt out as I dont have tools now that I moved..? advice please.. Ill get pictures as soon as there isnt snow ont he ground.
also on a dropped car do you have to go to a special shop to get an alighment done? I probably dropped my car about 2- 2 1/2" think I need a camber kit or just a good alightment? thank you all for your help.
Also, was the bolt that they broke the LCA bolt? (Lower Control Arm) If it is, then yea, that's a common thing. You shoulda sprayed it with some WD40 the night before....

well its already broke, so this will he helpful next time
as for getting that piece out.. they have drill out kits that you can drill the center out of the bolt and pull it out.
BUT.. use some penatrating(sp) oil or WD40 like nine5 said.. to loosen it up before you unscrew it out.
good luck cuz if you do it wrong, you'll need to re-thread that hole

instead of driving around burning up all kinds of gas lookin for these parts.. i'd advise you to call first and ask them/tell them what your lookin for.. save you a few trips

also sometimes you can get a flat-head and a hammer and hammer the end of the screw driver (smaller then the diameter of the bolt) into the broken end, after you spray it with penatrating oil to loosen up any rust or whatever made it stuck, and try to un-screw it out

or if you got a dremel tool, cut a slot for the end of the screw driver to fit in

Lesson one; don't let anyone who doesn't know what they're doing touch your car.
The same thing happend to me, I was able to fix it myself in about 2 hours. Now I'm no certified mechanic and it was my first time doing something like this. With that said, most shops should be able to do it within an hour or so. Because the price they charge you will be all labor, considering that new bushings and bolts cost around $15, there's a good cost estimate, just find out what they charge per hour.
