Body "glue"
I have a small patch of rust on my rear quarter panel and while doing some research on what I could possibly do to fix the problem I found out that some people use body "glues" or epoxies to install new panels or pieces. Where can you exactly get the glue? I know I can get small sheets of various metals in various gauges from home depot or Lowe's so i was thinking I could cut down some pieces and glue them in. I was thinking maybe aluminum just b/c I know it won't rust in the future, plus if I used the glue it would keep water out of the seems to prevent rust along with the fact that glue won't rust like welds.
Thanks

3M Makes an epoxy that they claim is just as strong as welding. I used to to seal a hole in my floor caused by falling off a jack stand and have had no problems with it. It's extremely expensive though, and I only got it through a friend's tech school.
Look up a body shop supply store in the phone book. Fusor, Duramix, 3M and Kent all make what you are looking for. Although welding a patch would be your best bet. You will also need the "gun". Make sure you read all the directions, clean it well and sand the surface.

heres a better way...
Cut out the rust... And pop-rivet on some 16ga GALVANIZED sheet metal, Por-15 the front and back (back may be difficult to get to) throw some fibeglass filler over it and smooth it out.
That glue and **** is gonna look like hell.

3m makes an "economy" gun. My P & B supply got one for me. About 35, I think.
It's very nice red welded metal, chrome rod.....
