valve adjustment - told it wasnt needed by honda!?
So I stroll into Honda and their 'techie' tells me, I wouldn't know the difference when I get it back and that they might not even touch them and would lead me to believe they did...
i've heard 30k EVERY HONDA MOTOR should have the valves adjusted is he just an A HOLE... or is he right???

Tell them to STFU and adjust the valves, or even better, go somewhere else and get it done. You will tell a difference in fuel economy, if nothing else.

Owner's manual for my '98 Accord says "IF you hear ticking noise."
(Actually I guess it's the Accord Helm book says that.)
I've done my Integra about every 25k miles, but usually only 1 or 2 valves actually need adjustment. So it turns into a measuring excercise.
So officially by the book, its NOT needed for some models. Personally, I'm not gonna wait until it makes noise, since I own feeler gauges & I'm not afraid to use them...
ps... each time, I could honestly NOT feel any difference after adjusting them. Probably 'cause I didn't wait for them to get way far out of adjustment.
