Loud Valves
Im not sure how loud honda valves normally are, but i think mine need adjusted, they seem pretty loud to me. I have 86k on my car and im not sure if the previous owner ever got the valves adjusted or not, when are you suppose to adjust them? If i have a chance tomorrow i will get you a video of my car ideling so you can hear.

A video will not help out, if you say they are loud and you have never had them adjusted just take it to Honda and have them adjust them. Simple enough.

It's not really a good first DIY repair. Getting the feel for the right valve lash, setting the TDC and turning the crank and making sure your on the right clyinder is tricky.
Honda dealers usually charge around 80-100 for a valve adjustment.

This would not be my first DIY repair, i do all my own work on my vehicles, i have just not done valve adjustments before.
