How tough to pull off 13.0's??
depends on: compression ratios, slick size, weight of car
on average i think a gsr at stock compression could run a 13.0 at 5-6psi on 22in slicks

I ran a 13.3 at 108MPH at 6-7psi on 22" slicks. Plenty of power, not enough driver.. ha.
They were like 2.1 I am thinking. I am very gentle on the launch. I haven't broken anything in 2.5 years of being turbo!
Well I take that back. I broke one axle. I was coming out of a gas station and did a hard 1-2 shift with the steering wheel still not totally straight and broke one. Not catastrophic tho. Limped home and changed it.

.... 22in slicks should net you in the 1.8-1.9 range on your 60fts... I was pretty skecthed on launching at 5500 too at first but once i figured its better to spin a little that have them bite real hard and wheel hop, it was all good... ive been turbo for 2.5 years as well, and to this date have never broke an axle (knock on wood)..... ha ha ha ive blown a motor tho
how did you limp home on a broken axle? Even if you had a diff, that would put extreme amounts of load on the drivetrain. Scary stuff
While we're talking axels here, how much power do you think Honda axels are good for? I know my D16 axels are a bit skinnier than B-series but I wanna have a rough guesstamate as to how much these things can hold.
BTW I'm going w/ driveshaft shop axels soon so I won't have to rely on these

I don't think it depends as much on how MUCH power, bit more on how you LAY DOWN the power.
Make a mistake like I did punching it out of a gas station in first with the steering wheel still turned a little as you shift hard to 2nd lighting them up the whole way and your axles will be a little unhappy.

that is my goal....to run a13.0 on my sohc....w/stock internal's full interior....i hope i can do it.....oh well....give me a lil while lol i havnt even put the thing on yet.....anyone wanna loan me some money lol
u can surely run a 13 flat.....w/stock internals boostingl ike 9 psi on street tires for a gsr poc
