okay as the Gasoline starts goin up nowadays..i started putting a cheap brand Gasoline in my S2000, i tried putting ARCO 91 octane on my car... it's a little cheaper than any brand.

Now my question is:

is ARCO bad for my engine?? remeber im putting 91 octane as well just diffrent brand...will it harm my ENGINE?? cuss sometime when i put MOBIL throttle response is improved but with ARCO i can feel my car is struggling...

OR THIS IS JUST INSIDE MY HEAD? opinions plse/

I been using Mobil because I get better gas mileage with it than Texaco gas.

I dont think youll really hurt the car, even though some small gasoline companies might not manufacture there gas with all the same processes as the big guys. Come to think of it, the small companies probably buy their gas from the compaqnies like Mobil anyway.

My g/f uses cheap Wawa gas and dosent have any problems.

 

i think it's only in your head... it shouldn't be much different....

 

octane should be octane if the #'s are true

we have 93 for our premium around here (michigan)

 

94 Premium from BP or Chevron is all i use in either of my cars...it probobly is all in my head but the times i've gone to Quicktrip or Texaco, the car seemed to use it up MUCH faster and i dunno, i just like my BP and Chevron, plus, the gas stations are brand new so they have a cool lady that talks to you on the little screen with a video and everything...she's semi-hot. She even shows you how to pump gas into your car, and talks to you about specials in the gas station while your gas is pumping...haha, soon we're gonna have like commercials while we pump gas on the screens...it did flash CocaCola a couple of times.

yea, i cant find any higher octane gas here in my area...we difinitly have it (cali) but dont know where to get it. ..anyway's ima stiick with ARCO for now until the gas prices starts to come down again.
