Default gas question

Just a quick yes or no question. Does everyone here believe that all gas is the same even from different companies as long as it is the same octane? also what gas station do you prefer

No, each company has a different additive or formula that they all have.

I.E. Chevron with Techron.

I prefer Chevron for the simple fact that it is a large reputible company.

No. Many different companies have different processing methods. There is usually a reason some stations like Sheetz or QT have cheap gas, because their gas is "dirty" for lack of a better word. Also, I only go to major gas stations. Stay away from the mom and pop stations because they are usually franchised out and the owner (not manager) of the station is responsible for buying the gas from the franchised company. I have heard horror stories about cheap owners watering down the gas to save money.
I generally try to stick with the big guys. BP and Chevron for example. Although QT has a guarantee that your motor will not be harmed by their fuel.

Don't know about a specific "brand" of station. But, a lot of the shitty looking, "Mom and Pop," Citgo, Mobil, etc. stations are privately owned. They have to buy their gas from Citgo, Mobil, etc.

I use to work at a gas station, and all of our deliveries came from either Gulf or Hess. Those two happen to be the hardest gas stations to find around here though.
