Default emmisions failure

Does anyone know if having a check engine light on would effect an emmisions failure in a inspection? The code is for enginge coolant temp sensor.

YES!!! you'll fail it drastically!!! the ecu goes into "limp" mod and runs the car rich.

Like the previous guy said, you'll probably fail. The ecu doesn't like that code. When I bought my car my d16 had a super leaky valve cover gasket and oil was all over the wire harness in the distributor area and some wires were very brittle and my coolant temp sensor wire broke. Check if that happened for you and fix it.
