Default Tempreture gauge not working?

wus up everybody , i'm new here and i have a question. I gotta 95 civic dx (eg8) it's a sedan , and my tempreture gauge isn't working. does anyone know what the problem could be? any help is appreciated,

Temperature


Check your temperature sensor

Check the springs

Check the thermostat

what springs did you mean? and where is the temp sensor?

no, thats the sensor that kicks the fan on. the coolant temp sensor is located by the thermostat.

theres a temperature sender right below your dizy. It has 1 prong on it.

ANd with those two unplugged you will definiely throw a code and your gauge won't work... Just had to trouble shoot that this weekend. A shop broke the sending unit plug, so I had to fix it and plug it back in. They taped it up and hid it in the wiring harness.

Like the didn't think it would effect how the car ran, what a joke.

i checked those 2 sensors or temp senders whatever they're called under the dizzy and they were plugged in, so what would be next to check?
