Default Filter

Right now i have a short ram intake. can i just put the filter right on the intake manifold? will it help or stay the same

Just put the filter in the end of the short ram, on my car ( EG6 - B16A2) it worked, in a book that I have, it says that a short intake is better when the VTEC is on, and it loses just a litlle (like 1 hp of lost) when the VTEC is of, in my case it worked very well, because I just drive with the VTEC on full time !!! Hehehhehee

having vtec on all the time would ruine the point of vtec. and im talking about running nothing but a filter on my intake manifold.

it will work , all i have is a filter on my intake and it runs fine , bigger filter more aire compression , dont know if you can see my engine in the avatar. i think this will help you dont really understand the question

so you dont have any piping on , just a filter on the intake? this will work but the point of the piping is to cool the air hotter the air the lower hp youll have

bah filters are for amatuers. Just use panty hose and a rubberband. Voila!
