I have something very similar, just with an ES Oval muffler. 2.5" all the way back with a high flow cat and a resonator.
Very stock looking (just bigger, of course) , silent at idle, and deep/throaty under hard acceleration.

Standing up behind the car, it's hard to even see it..

Does your exhaust come close to melting your rear bumper??? Looks like you're cutting it close...

Me ? Some random tip I found at a store. Why do you like it
I was also told a resonated tip will also tone down the exhaust a tad.

It hasnt melted it. It's rubbed away at it a bit so now it doesnt rub anymore
The only downside is that it gets a little sooty back there.
I'd be more concerned if I had personally gotten it done at a shop, but I bought it off a member on HT who had a stock bumper. For $200, I'm not going to complain.
Plus, I'm going back to stock bumpers this summer when I get my car repainted, so it shouldnt be a problem.

I was mainly just curious if it made it sound any different. I prefer the no-tip look, but if it helps with sound levels, then that's what matters. Mine seems a bit loud at times, but I think that's more a factor of the urethane mounts vibrating throughout the entire car

i run a cherry bomb turbo II muffler from autozone with no cat and 4-1 header . it`s ok until you get on it . my biggest problem is the seals and welds on the muffler are blowing out from the high rpm runs . you can see soot coming from the rolled edges and the welds . i`m gonna try a custom 2.5 with an E.S oval on my next setup.
