High temp paint
I need some paint to keep my new downpipe from rusting. I tried using that 1200 deg F paint when I painted my DP last... but that just flaked off the first 12" of the pipe near the turbo (I assume it got too hot hehe).
Any suggestions? (Other than getting stainless... let me know if you find stainless mandrel bends for cheap. And no, burnsstainless is not cheap. $90 for a 3" mandrel U bend no thanks)

I have some 1500 degree farenheit paint. This is the highest temperature rating I've seen personally, but I have heard of paint that goes all the way up to 2200 farenheit. Not sure where you would buy it from.....but I'm sure that there are places on the internet that sell it.

They make this silver ceramic paint which works really well. I used it before I got my downpipe coated. I have it in my storage room, so I can find out what it is called and let you know.
will these high temp (the 1800 degree) really hold up on a turbo manifold?
if so im going to
myself cause im having my manifold coated and its not cheap!
