lsturbo +gsr oil pump?
is this a good idea or bad? Im currently using the stock pump, i only get reading of 10-12psi at idle, and max psi i ever see is 45-50psi. I know the turbo doesnt like too much pressure, but i feel that my engine is starving for oil. any ideas?

Yes you can do it. Its a little better than an ls. Type r or gsr should fit. Personally you can do that. But you will have to use the gsr timing belt. So timing belt and oil pump should fit. You might as well throw on a gsr water pump.

where do you have the gauge tapped at? the helms manual states that if tapped from the oil pressure switch, you should see about 10psi min at idle & 50psi min at 3k rpms. so if that's where your gauge is your #'s do seem a bit low.
if you do switch to a b18c oilpump, you don't need a b18c belt, you only use that when using a b18c waterpump.

If you go and change the oil pump, u might as well change the water pump on the ls. That is why i said you needed a gsr timing belt. I have done this many times on most ls's.

Re: lsturbo +gsr oil pump? (Evil GS-R)
I see 15-20 PSI at idle and max out at 70 PSI at full throttle when tapped at the oil location next to the filter. I have since relocated mine because the brass T fitting broke off! Now its up on top, a la Endyn style. It reads 10 PSI at idle and around 60 PSI at full throttle

you cannot use this on a 96 or newer LS without removing the CFS as it cannot be attached to the GSR oil pump. stock computer must have this input, so then you must ground it out somewhere else, LS make plenty of pressure but we dont have any VTEC assembly to engage or squirters so just maybe get a new gear or shim yours for more PSI.
