NEED HELP WITH IGNITION AND TIMING ON B18B1 MOTOR iN 93 HATCH
i just finished an LS motor swap with my 93 hatch. I set the timing at the white markings with timing light. The first time this happened, i also readjusted the air fuel ratio. Now every time i go to start my car, it just cranks crazy as if it needs a new starter or battery jump or something. I readjusted the timing again at the red mark, this time it starts okay but the rpm is way above 1 (this makes my car eating a lot of fuel). Anyone has any other suggestions?? i need my car to start up again (normally)
hwo did you adjust the air/fuel you speak of. i think thats your problem right there, and um put the timing back on the white mark, on the red lines its like 10 deg retarded or something.
Can't figure out what you are saying but this MIGHT help....there are 4 marks on the pulley, the one by itself is top dead center. Line up the line by itself with the mark on the plastic black cover and make sure your cam gears are lined up (9' o clock 3') with the word top on top
...Then figure out the ignition timing after you have the cam timing correct.

Are you sure you set the timing properly?
